The tween's problem about home-school:

I've been home-schooled my whole life.I tell my parents that I still want to be home-schooled to make them happy, but the truth is that I'm actually not. I want to tell my parents that I want to go to a regular school for a change and enroll in the school of my choice, but I'm afraid that they'll get mad at me. How do I deal?

Dear troubled teen, hope my advice helped you :)

My short advise:

I encourage you to be honest and talk with them. Discuss but never argue. Tell them that you're grateful for being home-schooled. Let them know how you feel, what your concerns are or what you want to experience.
Communication usually leads to better discovery. You'll never know unless you voice it out. Still, whatever decision your family makes, keep an open mind. If they say “No”, accept it. Stay positive with hopes that they'll think about it and reconsider soon. Keep the faith! - TG Mom Czaroma

Seeing my kids' pictures getting published in parenting magazines is wonderful. I can't count how many times they've got included in different magazines. My kids doesn't dream nor wish of becoming celebrities, but all these are worth treasuring. These magazines make a good remembrance of their childhood years.

Two photos of my kids with Jollibee got published at Moms and Kids magazine Volume 12 Issue 4 at the Jollyme and Jollibee page. The first was the photo my son celebrating his first birthday at Jollibee, and the second was a photo with their aunt and cousins taken at Jollibee, Baguio City.

April Magazines Grand Slam

The month of April is my daughter's birth month. Now, she's already 6 years old. It had been a simple family celebration and I'm glad she got what she wished for.


Knowing that her pictures got published in the April issue of the magazines that we frequently read is so delightful. Its like a birthday gift for her too! I can almost say that it's indeed a Grand-Slam moment!

Best Friends in Total Girl Magazine

Total Girl Magazine February 2010 issue features my daughter, Skylah and my little sister, Jalysa, in their Totally True section - best friend edition.

In this page, Skylah and Jalysa shares what makes them best friends, the fun things they enjoy doing together, their bonding moments and the perks of having a "bestie" in the family. Having a true bestfriend is indeed important and I am glad that they've found friendship in each other. As Jalysa says, "I know she'll always be there for me the same way that I'll always be here for her. We're growing up together, and I'll surely be there to guide her through her life."

It was last December when the girls had their photo shoot at Summit Studio. My daughter is not at the age of being a "tween." She would just turn 6-years-old this year. Still, I am proud and happy that she had experienced being part of this magazine. The only thing that matters to me is that she enjoyed the photoshoot and felt more happier as she saw the magazine.  

Total Girl Magazine is Summit Media's lifestyle magazine for tween girls. It's a magazine that encourages girls to be confident and comfortable with who they are. Reading the pages of the magazine is always fun, inspiring and informative.
