It was so hot that day, but everyone got delighted upon seeing Alonzo. He is the son of former childstar Niño Muhlach. He brings joy to everyone and cheerfully posed for the camera, unmindful of the heat that day.

Not only that, we got to have a fun-filled day at RAVE Pasig. The kids and every kid-at-heart enjoyed the Mini Train ride, boat, and treasure hunt at the Maze Garden. The adventurous ones even got to experience the Zipline!

All About Pasta as Doña Elena celebrates National Pasta Month

How do you like your pasta? I want my pasta Al Dente!

It means, "firm to the bite!"

I am a certified pasta lover! Glad to be invited (and I was able to attend) Doña Elena's World Pasta Day celebration at The Blackboard.

I love pasta!

It's great to know more about pasta during Doña Elena's event. Here are some tidbits and interesting infos I've learned:

1. October is a National Pasta Month and October 25th is National Pasta Day!
2. Pasta is healthy for it is a good source of protein, fiber and antioxidants. 
3. Pasta is not fattening for it is made of whole wheat (just eat moderately)
4. Pasta should be not too soggy or too hard. It should be tender and firm. Just right, Al Dente!
5. Avoid boiling pasta in a covered pot or rinse it after it's cooked.
6. Doña Elena Al Dente does not require oil when cooking because it doesn’t stick together.
7. Each pasta has its sauce-match. Thin pastas like spaghetti should be served with light, thin sauce (like tomato). Thicker ones like Fettuccine with heavier sauces. Pasta with holes or ridges, like Penne Rigate is best with chunkier sauces. 
8. Doña Elena Al Dente is the only artisan quality pasta, made from 100% durum wheat semolina (hard wheat). Unlike local pasta with only 6% protein content, Doña Elena Al Dente Pasta contains 13% protein.

I spent the day at Blue Water Day Spa Ortigas branch with mommy bloggers. We were treated to a Foot massage with Reflexogy, plus a back massage. Great! This is what I really need.

I enjoyed getting pampered inside their spa theater. Since it's a theater, you can watch a movie while getting pampered.

Just when I'd been thankful for the day, there seems to be a lot more to be thankful for!

I didn't knew that there would be a big surprise after the spa treat.

We got blindfolded, rode in a van that would take us somewhere else. (So, where could that be?)

I had no idea where and what would that surprise awaits us.

We reached the place, still on our blindfolds, and heard lots of voices. At the count of 3, we were asked to remove our blindfolds. It was then when everyone greeted us Happy Mother's Day.  Ohh confettis!

We were at Uncle Cheffy's Greenhills Promenade branch! Kids, husbands and family member's of mommy bloggers filled the place. Wow my hubby and kids were there too!

Wow how could they be there? I don't have any idea about all these. I thought that they would just wait for after the spa.

My initial reaction was: "aba bat nandito kayo? alam nyo dito kami dadalin?"

It's indeed a big surprise!

Ms. Denise of Nestle's Consumer Marketing welcomed mom's and their families. A hearty meal follows. All moms got a personalized shirt "Wear Your Love" shirt from Nido Fortified.

I really find the Meralco E-Bill app and the Meralco Appliance Calculator or AppCal very useful.

This app can be accessed through the Meralco website, or downloaded from the site as an app for smart phones and tablets.
