My Monde Mamon Summer Experience

My kids are growing too fast that sometimes I find myself silently wishing, "don't grow up too fast!"

So as to make their summer exciting and worthwhile, I allow them to do anything they want under the sun. As I let them play and enjoy summer days, I felt fulfilled as well.

I even realized that not even going out of town can be an enriching family activity after all! In between summer classes and activities at home, I was able to bond with them, celebrate their individuality, recognize their needs and make them feel important.

Summer had been great for all of us. There's musical theater, basketball and swimming classes.

My son learned about discipline, hardwork and character in summer basketball.

My daughter discovered her talent, and realized the importance of her role and even in celebrating one's differences in musical theater. And we even get creative making her DIY froglet costume!

Both of them became confident and faced their fears in swimming classes.

All these even develop their social skills and makes them live an active and healthy lifestyle.

Then, there's playing with cousins, reading books, looming, baking and preparing dessert.

Oh the joys of motherhood! I enjoyed capturing all these summer moments!

Hopefully to cap off our summer, we can try the Monde Mamon-It-Yourself decorating activity and make our Monde mamon masterpieces at home.

By bonding with my family, we create our own wonderful moments. And I know that all these moments will into treasured memories. It strengthens and deepens our ties throughout their childhood and beyond.

Swimming Lessons: Bert Lozada Swim School at Ace Water Spa

My son took his first swimming lessons at Bert Lozada, Ace Water Spa, Pasig branch. He was part of the first batch.

Since my son is already 7-years-old, he's not allowed be inside the female locker room. That worried us since he'll be alone inside the male locker room! Grateful that Ace Water Spa and Bert Lozada's staff assisted him inside.

Parents and guardians are not allowed in specified places, especially in the pool area. There are attendants so you won't have to worry too much. Just keep a watchful eye on your kid.

Facing his fears and learning the basics are very important for me. They taught lessons fitted for my son and he was able to progress at his own rate.

I agree with their swimming method, "There are no shortcuts to achieve total independence or success in the water."

Glad that my son was able to enjoy his summer days. Though things had not started well on his first day, and we have to call on the school's attention, it ended well.

I know that the10 days swimming session is not enough since he's just starting with the basics. Until now, he's asking me to take more swimming lessons at Ace Water Spa.

If you're planning to enroll your kids at D' Ace Plaza, here are some reminders:

• Be there 15 minutes before the class starts
• Before every lesson, you need to go to Bert Lozada's office at the lower ground to give your ID in exchange of a swimmer's pass
• Then, present the swimmer's pass at the reception area to get your stub and locker room key
• Go inside the locker room and give your stub. They will keep your shoes, sandals or slippers
• Then, take a shower a few minutes before the lesson starts

Proper swimming attire, goggles, kick board and swimming caps are required. But you can borrow caps for free if you don't have any.
