I opened my box and saw these wrapped goodies that looked like jewels. They handed me a catalogue to know more about Villa Del Conte and see what's inside each wrapper, but I choose the excitement of not knowing what I'll get.

I find the Pralines Balls truly amazing for its luscious chocolate taste. The Praline balls come in dark and milk chocolate with hazelnut, macadamia cream, caramel cream, cacao cream and coffee cream fillings.

My giant Toblerone 4.5 kg bar

For a chocoholic like me, owning a giant Toblerone bar is a wish come true! I really love the creamy goodness of this Swiss chocolate.

I first saw a 4.5kg Toblerone bar during their Say it Sweeter with Toblerone promo at Toblerone gift hubs at the malls. Joined that previous promo, but I didn't have luck that time.

This time, I won in their #MakeSomeonesDay Facebook promo!

I gave my daughter a Toblerone bar after her performance. The "Good Job" words are perfect enough to show that I'm proud of her.

This is an overdue post; still I can't forget the way that cupcakes from Cupcake Lab made me feel!

I am such a dessert person! I won't get tired feasting on cakes, ice cream, cupcakes, chocolates, and everything that is sweet. When I learned that I won 2 dozen Cupcakes from MOMtrepreneur's survey contest, the sugar rush came rushing in a flash. Thanks so much MOMtrepreneur!

I didn't get to taste or take a picture of these cupcakes as soon as it was delivered. I had the package delivered at my sister's house and she had it refrigerated. We only got to taste these goodies 2 days after.

These are the best cupcakes I've tasted so far.  The cupcakes were truly wonderful, rich and moist; and the frostings are perfect. Even just a bite can keep you satisfied.

It tastes more than the way it looks on this photo. :)

Tiramisu, Red Velvet, Hazelnut topped with Ferrero

The Red Velvet cupcake with sprinkled on top is my husband's favorite. Love it too! The cream frosting is thick and smooth.

We love the strong flavor of the Tiramisu Cupcake. It's a coffee cupcake topped with Mascarpone frosting and dusted with cocoa powder.

And the marbled Hazelnut cupcake is truly an indulgence. The cupcake had chunky bits of hazelnut with Nutella frosting and topped with Ferrero Rocher.

My family really loved these flavorful cupcakes. Even my husband's office mates got a taste and they became curious as to where they could buy these cupcakes. How I wish I could get to have these sweets every month. Highly recommended!

Barbie Doll Becomes Celebrity For a Day (or Two)

My daughter is Barbie Doll during the Halloween!

She enjoyed being a Barbie doll since Barbie dolls are among her favorite toys. She won't mind receiving Barbie dolls as gifts and she still plans to buy and keeps on wishing to have more. I lost count how many Barbie dolls she already have (maybe more than 20).

October had been a busy month for my kids. There's weekend ballet practice and recital dress rehearsals, quarterly school exams and United Nations programs practice, plus family trips and activities! That left us with no time to think about and prepare for their Halloween costume. We didn't even have plans to join mall Trick or Treats!

Five days before their school Halloween party, we started to think what they'll going to wear, and borrowed a horse's back (from my husband's cousin) so my son Brent can be Centaur! (I'll be posting about his costume too)

An idea came to mind! Since my daughter Skylah would just wear her ballet tutu, I thought of dressing her up as Barbie Doll!

We made a pink Barbie box, cut some holes, fastened garters at the back so she can carry the box at her back, printed the Barbie words and Mattel logo, and of course, her picture!

School Halloween Party

From the moment our Barbie Doll stepped out of the car and walk on school grounds, we've already heard several students saying, "that's cute," "wow it's Barbie!"... which continued until she reached her classroom. Her teachers and classmates loved her Barbie costume too!

Our Barbie Doll was well applauded when she get on stage. She even won as The Most Funniest Costume (for Grades 1-3 division)!

RFR Halloween Party and Trick or Treat

It was a Saturday and after ballet practice, we joined RFR's Halloween Party and Trick or Treat again since the kids really enjoyed going door-to-doors to ask for treats!

Again, my daughter was dressed-up as Barbie Doll!

I can't believe that village residences also took pictures of her. They were really delighted to see a walking Barbie doll!

Mums and Tubs Club Halloween Cutie Contest

Recently, her picture also won at Mums and Tubs Club contest in Facebook. Good enough that it's not a liking contest.

If only I had anticipated that our Barbie Doll in her DIY Barbie doll would be well received, we would have joined in Trick or Treat and Halloween parties in the malls and hotels. Well, but that would be too tiresome and it might ruin the purpose of enjoying the event.

I'm glad that my daughter had been at her happiest!

My Chubby World is a weekly kid-oriented and informative Philippine program shown every Saturday at 8:15 am on GMA 7.

In every episode, they have a promo where you need to submit a photo that answers the question of the day based on the featured topic.

I tried sending a picture of my son for their episode 8 about kids fashion. It's a picture that answers the question, "Ano ang paborito mong fashion trend?"

Luckily, my son was chosen to be one of the five winners! Here's the winning photo:

Fab Picks From The Flower Collection

When I claimed my Php 2,500 gift certificate from The Flower Collection last January, their items were on sale from 10% up 70% off. My mom and I dropped by their Robinson's Galleria branch after running a few errands around Ortigas area. 

I was thinking of buying the items from my Celebrating the Holiday Season in Style post, but later decided to chose other items instead. I bought two plain tops at 70% off - a light blue closed neck top with hemband and a round neck tangerine top with light ruffles and hemband. 

My mom got more items. She had a great time checking the sale items. She picked two dresses and two tops. She bought these black wrap-dress with ruffles and a red jersey halter dress. 

She also bought a semi butterfly-sleeved flowery top and a brown halter top with ruffles. 

All these items cost me Php 5,500. But since we picked items that were on 50% to 70% off, it only costs me Php 2,200. That's a huge savings, right?

We really love their collection of tops and dresses. These are items that you can wear all year round.

Wide Headband From Cover Your Hair

I got this lovely wide-headband (priced at $9.99) from Cover Your Hair's giveaway a month ago. It looks like a turban when worn widely. I can wear it just like a normal headband too. The softness makes wearing this headband very comfortable as it doesn't rub against the skin.

My sister also won in that same contest and got herself Sandwich Boards (in 4 sets) made of rosewood.
