Capture Attention with Lawn Signs

Signs are everywhere. Without it, people would get lost and confused since it would be hard to look for information or find our way around.

Schools, buildings, establishments and roads make use of different signage. There are warning signs on the road, outdoor billboards that advertises a brand or a company effectively and signage that promote awareness or give directions. It is always important to keep an eye on every safety signs that warns people about dangers. Months from now, political signs would be found everywhere as well. A great sign usually capture attention in an instant since people usually glance on these for a few seconds.

From those different kinds of signs, mall sale announcements capture my attention the most. Who wouldn't love going to sale and bazaar events especially since the Holiday Season is fast approaching?

Lately, I've been becoming more aware of those House for Sale or House for Rent posters. We've been driving around and visiting several houses, apartment units and townhouses at a village near our kid's school. For years, our family had been used to living in our condo unit. But looking at those houses makes us want to move in that village. Even my sister and her family are considering on purchasing their house in that village too.  Who knows, maybe in the future, we'll also get to buy our house in that area too. It would be great since my kid's and my youngest sister won't have a hard time commuting to and from school.

Even if we live in the digital world and you can easily post online advertisements, outdoor real estate signs are really important.  It gives information to prospective buyers and renters about the property.

If you're looking for properties for sale or for rent, you can find that real estate signage very helpful especially if you don't have a broker. Some have lawn signs, yard signs while others place it in their gates. Some properties also have those big posters and tarpaulins that you can see at the streets. From there, you can get the contact number and the person you need to get in touch with.

Solar Phone Charger Saves Electricity

Having several cell phones and gadgets also means making use of different chargers. Most people I know also have different chargers for their phones, cameras, batteries and others, in their homes.

Charges do consume electricity so we always make it a point to unplug chargers once our gadgets or batteries are fully charged. Leaving a charger on the socket even without a gadget also drives up electricity bills. It’s good that one of my husband’s mobile phone has this reminder message which says “unplug the charger from the wall” after the phone had been fully charged. It's good that one of his cell phone have this reminder since he usually forgot to unplug chargers from the outlet.

Unused appliances plugged into power outlets draw electricity. Even when turned off, it also consumes energy since it is connected to the power outlet. It would be beneficial if we have a solar phone charger for it can also lessen electricity bills.

No matter how many chargers you have, it can still be frustrating whenever you find your mobile phone getting discharged when we need it most. A discharged or low battery cell phone is the worst especially when you’re travelling or during emergency situations. Either you borrow a charger and find an electrical outlet.

Solar chargers are really beneficial when you're going on camping, trekking, and mountain climbing or exploring the outdoors. People who spend hours and days working outside needs a solar charger to keep them connected to their clients, businesses and families.

If you have a solar charger, you can have power on the go especially on remote locations. After letting it bask in the sun, it stores sunlight in its solar panel and power pack. If you have a solar charger, you don't always have to depend on electrical outlets and chargers to charge mobile phones. You can charge your gadgets even without the actual use of electricity. No need to worry about spare batteries or finding an electrical outlet.

Using a solar charger is a convenient way of recharging your mobile phones, iPhones and iPads. It's also beneficial whenever you're at home. Since it utilizes natural energy from the sun, you can be more energy savvy. It helps save electricity, thus saving household bills.

Lisa Macuja: Daughter's Dream Come True

It's been a month since my daughter and I watched Giselle at the Aliw Theater. She was mesmerized by the performance of the prima ballerina, Ms. Lisa Macuja-Elizalde.
“She doesn’t run, she floats. She doesn’t balance, she hovers. She doesn’t jump, she flies... And in the end, I hope I won’t be the only one crying at I bid farewell to Giselle,” Lisa Macuja-Elizalde says.
She's wonderful, divine and spectacular. Seeing her do the ballet turns and twists is truly captivating. I was in awe as her body seems to really float, glide and fly in the air. She moves perfectly, passionately and in full emotion. You can really feel the way her eyes sparkle seeing Albrecht and how those same eyes elicit sadness. Everything about her was indeed a sight to behold.

And of course, Mikhail Martynyuk of Kremlin Ballet, all the dancers, danseurs and the Manila Symphony Orchestra are outstanding as well.

Having given the chance to meet and greet Ms. Lisa Macuja after the show makes the day truly memorable. My daughter felt star-strucked.

I know that this signed memorabilia is something that she will forever treasure. It says, "To Skylah, Keep on dancing! Lisa Macuja"

It had been the second year of Lisa Macuja's Swan Song Series, of which Don Quixote, Giselle and Carmen are part of, as she bid adieu to her  signature dance roles. I'm so glad that my daughter and I were able to watch her last performance of Giselle on stage. It’s a once in a lifetime experience.
"Nevertheless, Giselle is a role that I think I can continue to perform again and again and not grow tired of because there are so many ways of interpreting her. I never run out of new discoveries each time I dance her onstage." - from the souvenir program.
My daughter and I had watched a couple of ballet shows, and I can say that Lisa Macuja's Giselle is the best and tops it all. It's memorably incredible. She deserves the multiple standing ovations that everyone at the audience gave her during the curtain call. With the warm reception she received, she gave tears of joy - an emotion that we also had felt.

Yes, a month had passed since seeing Giselle, yet whenever I remember the curtain call while the teary-eyed prima ballerina shakes her head, the cheers and the loving applause seems to resound.

Giselle | October 21, 2012 at Aliw Theater

To Ms. Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, you're an inspiration! For my daughter, in the world of ballet, you reign supreme!

Thank you to Freeway for the tickets... and to Dante Perez, her EA, for the souvenir photo and the meet-and-greet session.

Hopefully, her Swan Song Series Year 3 will push through. We won't miss that for sure.
"A ballerina still dancing in her 28th season is rare. But a ballerina dancing her final Don Quixote, Giselle and Carmen on her 28th season is even more unique. Though one thing is for sure – no matter how ready you think you are, it’s still so hard to say goodbye." -- from the souvenir program.

A Wedding Like No Other

Everyone is still talking about the recent wedding ceremony of local celebrity couples, Zoren Legaspi and Carmina Villaroel. It's where the groom surprised his bride with a grand flash-mob proposal and a solemn wedding.

It was indeed a surprised wedding since the bride initially thought that she was in the venue for a commercial photo shoot for a commercial endorsement. It's fascinating how the groom had pulled off a grand event without the bride oblivious until the last minute that they were about to exchange I do's on that day. This is such an unexpected wedding event, a heart warming ceremony and a love story like no other.

The couple had white gold wedding bands for the ceremony. After 12 years of togetherness, they are now officially husband and wife.  Those who had seen their wedding coverage had surely felt the couple's love, sweetness and happiness.

Truly, a ring brings a huge difference in people's lives. It can make an engagement or an anniversary spectacular. Most women wishes to wear one of the most brilliant rings in the world like moissanite ring.  It makes a great gift for every woman. This type of ring is less expensive yet more durable than a diamond. Like a wedding, it can make you fall and believe in love all over again.

It was raining hard during the photoshoot. Good thing, my husband accompanied me to the studio.

Thank you Ms. Pia, GH, beauty and fashion editor, for choosing the best dress for me. I initially  prefer wearing pants for the shoot, yet, she knew that wearing the dress would be perfect. And she was right!

Here's a TIP she shared:
Look for a dress in a cut that suits your body type. Halters are flattering for almost any body shape, making your shoulders look sexy.

Las Vegas Real Estate Opportunities

I always think of Las Vegas as a place filled with world-famous award-winning casinos, hotels, gambling, gaming, shopping and fine dining. No doubt that the famous Sin City is also tagged as the Entertainment Capital of the World. It's a place where many people stay all night to go to clubs and hotels to drink and gamble. It's also great destination for everyone who want the kind of life the city offers.

Those who are also checking out places to stay or live in Las Vegas can start with real estate listings for homes for rent or for sale. To find a great deal, homes listen in short sale Las Vegas must also be considered.

For those planning to sell their Las Vegas home, a short sale is a good alternative to foreclosure. From what I've learned, it's a real estate transaction where the homeowner gets permission from the bank to sell their property in a lesser value than they owe on the mortgage. Usually, homeowners who are in financial trouble recourse to this type of transaction. Some people find it beneficial to purchase a short sale since the house is in bargain. During a "short sale," a home is being sold for less than the owners owe for the loan on their house. The buyer gets to buy the property at a reduced price. This is best for people who are not in a hurry to live in their purchased homes since short sales usually take months to close.

One can always find get great deals on Las Vegas real estate. There are several homes, townhouses, condominium units for rent and for sale in the area. Of course, one should consult a real estate professional who can help you find the best deal, answer your questions and assist you with all the transactions.

The city is a great place with an exciting nightlife and is also perfect for family getaways. Aside from the massive casinos scattered throughout the city, you'll always find great things that will surprise you at Las Vegas. One should also not forget to check and find the best deals on hotels, restaurants, casinos, events, golf and other things to do in the city. There are several outdoor experiences, sightseeing and concerts that will keep you interested. You'll find that 24 hours is really not enough.
