Bunk Beds for Kids Bedroom

In a few days, my son would be graduating in preschool. We're all excited and proud of what he had achieved. His class adviser informed me that he'll be receiving an award (though, I wonder what that award would be). He'll also be delivering the Welcome Remarks for their graduation ceremony. Hooray!

My kids are really getting bigger, especially my son. He's becoming healthier each day. We always buy bigger clothes since he would easily outgrow his pants and shirts!

Since they are really growing up, we’re thinking of letting them sleep in separate beds. Getting a new bed in on the plan and a bunk bed makes a good option. These loft beds are economical and a great space savers too. It can keep my kid's room neat and orderly. They would even have ample space for studying and playing.

These loft beds are my favorites. I love the fresh and clean look of this bed and the top bunk is not too high.

Sierra Captain's Bed for Two with Stairs
Loft bunk beds are modern options to enhance our kid's bedroom. It's also great if you're sharing the bedroom with them. It's very versatile since it comes with shelves, bed drawers and even a desk. They can use these drawers to keep their favorite toys or display their favorites as well.

These beds come in various designs and sizes. If you're also planning of purchasing bunk beds, you can on online and search for the bed of your choice. There are beds made of wood, bamboo and metal frames. Of course, we have to make sure of their safety. The bed should be sturdy and built to last for years. Choosing bunk bed with railings along the side, both on the top and lower bunks, is very important. It would keep our minds free from any worries.

Recycled Princess Castle

My daughter and I enjoyed doing this Princess Castle.

castle,recycling,arts crafts,Recyled Materials Princess Castle,school project

It's made of materials that we found at home. It's a project that she created and submitted during their school's Math and Science week.

Materials used: box, shoe boxes, popsicle sticks, old puzzle pieces, styrofoam boxes, take-out boxes, soap boxes, decorations from magazines, old folders

So instead so throwing these materials away, we turned it into a castle!

The princess throne is from the scrap shoe box, a styrofoam cup and cut-out from Disney Princess magazine.

She personalized her project by cutting letter's from the magazine and formed the words - Skylah's Castle. This recycled project activity gave her a sense of accomplishment. It expressed her creativity and boost her imagination.

Recycling is fun and enjoyable! It is important that we teach our kids to reduce, reuse and recycle materials. It's a great way to make new crafts.

I Love Being a Woman

"A woman is the full circle. Within her is the power to create, nurture and transform."
This is what I LOVE most about being a WOMAN.

Our body is powerful and beautiful. We are blessed with the power to create life and to be a mother.
Our complexities allow us to feel a whole range of emotions - from being delighted and passionate, to being seductive and emotional.
Our tears can flow abundantly in the same way with our laughter.

We have unlimited capacity to Love.
We can adapt to any situations like chameleons. We fight for what we believe in like warriors.
We count our blessings and celebrate in many ways our experiences from the heart and mind.

I love that we manifest our own destiny, wear many different hats and fulfill countless roles.
We live our lives to the best we can - with our family, in our relationships, in our jobs or in any other environment imaginable.

I love how we make ourselves the most wonderful, the greatest and the most loving person in the world.
Even Beyonce also says it well - "Who run the world? GIRLS!!!"

Google Maps Helped Me Find Places

In a few weeks, my kids would start enjoying their school summer vacation.

Aside from going to the beach and traveling, summer is the best time for summer workshops. Parents are already looking for fun activities that their kids can do this summer. These workshops develop and enrich every child’s self-confidence, skills, creativity, imagination and self-expression. It allows them to explore their talents and interests.

Google maps marketing are really helpful. Business that can be found online has a potential of reaching more clients and customers.

I've already seen many summer classes for kids and teens  - from sports clinics, art classes, music and theater courses, cooking and baking classes. Aside from that, there are also academic enrichment classes in Math, Science, Reading and foreign languages. See, there's really a lot to choose from and consider.

Aside from checking out the locations of these different summer schools, my husband and I spent time searching online for schools near my mother-in-laws' house. Good that there's Google map. I rely on that map most of the time. My husband didn't have a hard time checking out the schools since Google map provided him with a sense of direction.

I really like using Google map to find locations of businesses. It always helped me find directions and locate establishments easily. It's even better since phone number and exact addresses are listed as well.

I am participating in a blogger campaign by Bucks2Blog and was compensated. However, the views and opinions are my own.

Be a Kid Entrepreneur

My daughter made this For Sale sign for their school event.

school food sale

As part of their Math and Science week, students from Grades 1 to 3 participated in the school food sale.

She told me that students bought candies, chocolates, cookies, foods (shanghai, cheese sticks, spaghetti, carbonara, sandwiches) and drinks for the activity. Though, they could not sell food as high as 20 pesos. This event teaches them about Philippine bills and coins, how to count and make changes.

She enjoyed selling her chocolates and marshmallows. We only bought few pieces and her food container was nearly empty when she arrived home (though they ate leftovers in the school service). She excitedly announced, "Ang dami kong nabenta!" She sold around Php 140... and for her, that's a lot already. That's her first earnings and we're proud of her! But she also realized how hard selling can be! Learnings.

She shared funny and inspiring stories based on other students' food sale experiences as well - as to what items are the best sellers, who made lots of money and foods that she bought. Now, she's looking forward to the next school food sale event! :)

This food sale also allows kids to experience setting up their little businesses, and buy items from their fellow students.

Who knows, maybe some of these students would grow up to be future entrepreneurs!

Kids can be entrepreneurs while they're still young. Parents can give them encouragement and support that they need. Since school summer vacation is almost near, you can allow your kids to enjoy and experience running their own little businesses too!
