Scholastic Book Buffet: our kind of buffet breakfast

This is my family's guilt-free buffet. Our book haul from Scholastic's warehouse book sale box-all-you-can promo.

All in all these books cost Php 6,000+. But we only paid Php 799! Such a steal!

Luckily, we live just a few minutes away from Scholastic warehouse. Still, we choose to be there early.

Arriving early means enjoying looking at all those books!

My tween and my teen are old enough to choose what they want to read. That means, no books will be left unread.

We always look forward to and get excited every time there's a Scholastic book sale. And I think we've been going to Scholastic warehouse for more than 5 years! This is the buffet we won't ever miss.

You have more days to grab the books you want. Sale runs from April 18 to June 18, 2017, from 9am-6pm. They're open daily from Monday to Sunday.

Get ready for Books For Less Warehouse 2015

Looking forward to another Books for Less Warehouse sale this coming August.

Definitely a must do! I enjoy the bookay-ukay-style at this warehouse. Books scattered and stacked all over the place is a haven! Best thing - it's so near our place! I'm sure that book worms, book lovers and bargain hunters are also excited for this month-long warehouse sale - that's from August 1 to 31, 2015.

Last year, books were only 10 pesos each. This time, it's already 20 pesos - still, irresistible to miss, right?

Some tips if you're going to the warehouse:

• Best to go early and on a weekday.
• The spaces are narrow so leave your big, heavy bags at home.
• Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, remember - it's a warehouse.
• Wear mask if you're sensitive to dust.
• Bring water as the heat can make you thirsty and spoil your book hunting.
• Bring your sturdy ecobag to put your purchases in. If not, either they'll straw-tie your books or place it in a box.
• Tag someone along to enjoy the book hunting experience.
• Check the shelves and dig under the piles of books on the table.
• When you got home, wipe the books with wash cloth (or wipes)
• Don't worry if you can't come on the first day or first week, there's something new to find every day!
• Expect lots of book hoarders.

And of course, face the mountain of books and clouds of dust with fun!

OMF Lit Bookshop is the great source of Christian books, life-transforming books and a wide selection of other local and imported titles. Even my kids still enjoy reading these 'Hiyas' children's book that we got years ago. Some children's books are on sale too.

Raising Book Readers

My kids and my youngest sister can't get enough of books!

A week won't pass without a trip to the bookstore to buy a book and more books! They enjoy our weekly visit to National Bookstore. Fully Booked and Power Books are also on our list. We also buy books that are on bargain at BookSale and Pick 'a Book.

Last Mother's Day, we dropped by Scholastic Warehouse Book Sale even if it's raining really hard. They've got to buy all these with their budget.

I find Scholastic's last book sale better than what they currently have, but purchasing books on sale is still worth it. You can also see some books I got from their previous sale here.

It's good to always receive messages from Scholastic books if they have promos like this. I'll surely drop by if they'll be having another sale this year.
