For the past two years Earth Hour has brought together billions of people, sending a powerful global message that it's time to take action on global warming.
Last year, the Philippines ranked first with the most number of participants - 15 million Filipinos from 650 cities and towns turned off their lights for an hour. This year, as Earth Hour coincides with the first weekend of the official campaign period for local candidates,environmentalists hopes that on this day people will "Vote Earth."
Earth Hour brings a message of hope and inspiration to start an action.
