International Women's Day 100th Anniversary

March 8, 2011 marks the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day. It's an event that honour and celebrate the achievements of women all around the world.

This year, United Nations’ theme is “Equal access to education, training and science and technology: Pathway to decent work for women.” Thousands of events worldwide are held to inspire women. It recognizes women for their achievements irregardless of their cultural, ethnic, economic and political views.

This is our time!

There's also a large gathering happening. It's a fabulous LIVE celebration in 10 cities across America and will be simultaneously live-streamed to women in 176 counties!

Amazing women celebrities, athletes, political leaders, and experts will speak about women’s issues today and how we can “Enlighten Women’s Minds and Empower Women’s Hearts … for a Better World.”

It's a day where women will “Celebrate, Commit, and Connect.”

Visit Women’s Information Network to participate and learn more about this celebration.

I'm proud to be a woman! Happy Women’s Day!
